Galaxy shrimp are available mainly in striking shades of black or red. Their quality is assessed based on their intricate patterns, with a special emphasis on the cheek spots 'Galaxy'. Specimens with a higher number of these spots are deemed particularly desirable among shrimp keepers. Additionally, they exhibit a distinctive 'fishbone' pattern, characterised by unique stripes along their backs that closely resemble the delicate bones of a fish, adding to their visual appeal.

Water Parameters for Caridina Shrimp (Soft Water Required):

Temperature: 20–23°C
pH: 5.8–6.8 (acidic range preferred)
General Hardness (GH): 4–6 dGH
Carbonate Hardness (KH): 0–2 dKH
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS): 100–200 ppm (water RO remineralised, optimal TDS is 140-160)

Note: These Shrimp are sensitive to parameter swings. Use remineralised RO (reverse osmosis) water for best results.

Delivery & Customer Responsibility

Live shrimp are dispatched on Mondays for Tuesday delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that aquarium parameters are fully suitable before ordering and that someone is available to take delivery promptly on Tuesday. Delays in delivery, unsuitable water conditions, or failure to receive the parcel on time can compromise the health of live animals.
