This plant is ideal for foreground to midground use, depending on the desired height and layout. Adequate open space and unobstructed light are important to ensure even growth.

Maintenance

Eleocharis acicularis is considered easy to grow and thrives in a wide range of aquarium conditions, including low-tech setups. While it can tolerate lower lighting, moderate light will encourage denser, more compact growth. CO₂ supplementation is optional but beneficial for faster spreading and a thicker carpet.
