DOOA System Paluda Drainage Piece – Terrarium Drainage Tool
The DOOA System Paluda Drainage Piece is a simple and effective solution for removing excess water from the drainage layer of terrariums, paludariums and planted displays. Although designed by DOOA for the System Paluda, this useful accessory can be incorporated into almost any terrarium setup with a suitable drainage layer.
By installing the Drainage Piece vertically into the substrate and drainage layer, you create an accessible point from which accumulated water can be removed without disturbing your plants, soil or carefully arranged hardscape.
Ideal for Terrarium Drainage
Excess water can gradually collect beneath terrarium substrate, particularly in humid tropical setups. The DOOA Drainage Piece provides easy access to this reservoir, allowing unwanted water to be removed when required and helping you manage moisture levels within the terrarium.
Simply connect a suitable 6mm outer-diameter silicone tube (sold separately) to drain or siphon accumulated water from the bottom of the setup.
Not Just for DOOA Terrariums
While originally designed for the DOOA System Paluda and also suitable for displays such as the DOOA Glass Pot SHIZUKU, the Drainage Piece can be used in many other brand terrariums and paludariums.
Simply incorporate it into your drainage layer during setup, making it a particularly useful addition when building custom tropical terrariums where excess water may otherwise be difficult to remove.

Tip: Install the Drainage Piece when initially building your terrarium, positioning the lower section within the drainage layer while keeping the access point reachable. This makes removing accumulated water much easier without disturbing the finished layout.
