Green Aqua MICRO Fertiliser
Now stocked by Horizon Aquatics
Green Aqua formulated this premium liquid plant fertiliser inspired by the renowned Estimative Index (EI) approach popularised by Mr. Tom Barr. It offers a balanced, comprehensive nutrient regimen suitable for all types of aquariums — from high-light, CO₂-injected setups to simpler low-tech tanks.
Why balanced nutrition matters:
Healthy aquatic plants require both macro- and micronutrients alongside adequate CO₂ levels. Deficiencies in any essential element can lead to unwanted algae outbreaks. Maintaining consistent fertiliser dosing combined with regular water changes (ideally 50% weekly) significantly reduces algae problems. Remember, proper CO₂ injection, sufficient lighting, and efficient filtration are also critical for thriving planted tanks.
Proven reliability:
Green Aqua fertilisers have undergone extensive testing in diverse aquarium conditions, consistently delivering excellent results in demanding Nature Aquarium environments. This product range remains our top recommendation for aquatic plant nutrition.
Ingredients:
A stable aqueous blend of chelated trace elements including Fe-HEEDTA, Mn, Cu, Zn, B, and Mo, formulated for optimal plant uptake.
Dosage Guidelines:
-
High-tech aquariums (strong light, CO₂ injection, densely planted): 1 ml per 20 L daily, with 50% weekly water changes recommended.
-
Mid-tech aquariums (moderate light, CO₂ injection, dense planting): 0.5 ml per 20 L daily, with 50% weekly water changes.
-
Low-tech aquariums (moderate light, no CO₂, heavily planted): 3-4 ml per 20 L weekly, with 50% weekly water changes.
-
Ultra low-tech aquariums (low light, no CO₂, few plants): 1-2 ml per 20 L weekly, with 50% weekly water changes.
Even though the above dosages are weekly, we always try to split into daily or as close as possible
