Green Aqua MACRO Fertiliser

Now available at Horizon Aquatics

Pair Green Aqua MACRO with Green Aqua MICRO to give your aquarium plants the complete nutrient package they need for healthy, vibrant growth.

Why Choose Green Aqua MACRO?

This premium fertiliser provides a carefully balanced ratio of essential macro elements — nitrates, phosphates, and potassium NPK— in a highly concentrated formula. It’s mixed to near the solubility limits of these nutrients, meaning you’re getting exceptional value with minimal water dilution compared to many other liquid fertilisers.

UV Filter Use

While MACRO fertilisers are unaffected by UV filtration, MICRO fertilisers can be degraded by UV light. If using UV sterilisation, run it only at night or for short periods when necessary, and always dose MICRO fertilisers after the UV is switched off.

Storage Advice

Store in a cool, shaded location at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate.

Dosage Guidelines

High-Tech Aquariums
(Strong light, CO₂ injection, densely planted)

  • 1 ml per 20 L daily

  • 50% weekly water change recommended

Mid-Tech Aquariums
(Moderate light, CO₂ injection, heavily planted)

  • 0.5 ml per 20 L daily

  • 50% weekly water change recommended

Low-Tech Aquariums
(Moderate light, no CO₂ injection, heavily planted)

  • 3–4 ml per 20 L weekly

  • 50% weekly water change recommended

Ultra Low-Tech Aquariums
(Low light, no CO₂ injection, few plants)

  • 1–2 ml per 20 L weekly

  • 50% weekly water change recommended

Tip: Pump outputs can vary, so check dosing accuracy — especially in larger aquariums. Water change frequency and lighting/CO₂ setup directly influence fertiliser requirements. For low-tech tanks, start with minimal dosing and adjust gradually while monitoring plant health.

Even though the above dosages are weekly, we always try to split into daily or as close as possible

Important Notes

  • Always match fertiliser dosing to your water change schedule to avoid nutrient build-up.

  • Excess nitrate (above 40–50 ppm) can slow plant growth and affect fish health.

  • In most aquariums, nutrient deficiency is more likely to cause issues than excess nutrients.
