This beautiful variation of Cryptocoryne nurii was discovered growing in the wild in Malaysia around 1970. It became popular in the aquarium hobby under the name 'Rose Maiden'.

The colour and patterns of the leaves depend on light and nutrition levels. Cryptocoryne Nurii is known for its striking appearance, featuring broad, lanceolate leaves that can grow up to 20 cm (8 inches) long, displaying a beautiful mix of green and reddish hues.

Cryptocoryne Nurii thrives in various conditions, making it an excellent choice for diverse aquascaping setups. It prefers moderate lighting to maintain its vibrant colouration while minimizing algae growth.

This adaptable plant can flourish in a range of water parameters, with a pH of 6.0 to 7.5 and temperatures between 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F), suitable for most freshwater aquariums.

For optimal growth, Cryptocoryne Nurii benefits from a nutrient-rich substrate that promotes healthy root development. Plant it directly in the substrate, and consider using root tabs or liquid fertilizers to provide essential nutrients.
