Stoffels Anubias barteri var. nana 'Golden' Tissue Culture Aquarium Plant

Anubias barteri var. nana 'Golden' is a beautiful compact Anubias variety prized for its distinctive bright lime-green to golden foliage. Combining the hardy, easy-growing nature of Anubias nana with a much lighter leaf colour, it is perfect for creating contrast against darker plants, wood and aquarium rocks.

Supplied as a Stoffels tissue culture plant, it is grown under sterile laboratory conditions and provides a clean, fresh way to introduce plants into your aquarium.

Appearance
Anubias nana 'Golden' produces compact, broad leaves with a vibrant yellow-green to golden colouration. Its lighter foliage immediately stands out against conventional dark green Anubias varieties and can be used to create attractive highlights throughout an aquascape.

The plant develops from a creeping rhizome and gradually forms a dense, compact clump over time.

Lighting & Growth
Anubias nana 'Golden' thrives in low to medium lighting conditions and does not require CO₂ injection.

It is a slow-growing and extremely hardy plant, making it an excellent choice for beginners, low-tech aquariums and established aquascapes. CO₂ and regular fertilisation can encourage stronger growth but are not essential.

Avoid excessively intense lighting, particularly when the plant is positioned high in the aquarium, as slow-growing Anubias leaves can be susceptible to algae.

How to Use
Anubias nana 'Golden' is a rhizome plant and the rhizome should not be buried in the substrate. Instead, divide the tissue culture into smaller portions and attach them to rocks, driftwood or other aquarium hardscape using aquarium-safe glue or thread.

Its compact growth makes it particularly effective in the foreground and midground, where the golden foliage can be used to create contrast amongst darker green plants.
