Blue Rili Shrimp

Neocaridina Species

Blue Rili Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) are striking freshwater shrimp known for their unique, semi-transparent colour pattern. They typically display a vivid, electric blue head and tail, contrasted by a clear or lightly coloured midsection. This distinctive “broken” colouration creates a beautiful two-toned effect that stands out in planted aquariums. Their bodies are slender and slightly curved, with long, delicate antennae and translucent legs often tinted blue. The intensity of the blue can range from a pale, icy shade to deep sapphire, depending on genetics, diet, and water conditions.
