DOOA Jungle Bottom - 1 L

DOOA Jungle Bottom is a specialised base substrate designed for use in paludariums, terrariums, Wabi-Kusa displays, and other high-humidity planted environments. Made from highly porous pumice and enriched with charcoal powder, it helps create a healthy foundation for plant roots while promoting long-term substrate stability.

Its open structure encourages airflow within the substrate, reducing the risk of stagnant areas and helping to maintain healthy conditions for both roots and beneficial microorganisms.

How to Use

Use DOOA Jungle Bottom as the base layer of your terrarium or paludarium substrate system. Spread an even layer across the bottom of the enclosure before adding a planting substrate such as DOOA Jungle Soil.

The porous structure helps retain moisture while maintaining aeration around plant roots, making it ideal for tropical plants, ferns, mosses, and other humidity-loving species.

It can also be used in Wabi-Kusa displays or as a filler material within planted layouts where improved drainage and airflow are required.

Jungle Bottom requires very little maintenance once installed. Its highly porous structure helps support beneficial microorganisms and maintain healthy substrate conditions over time.
