Bucephalandra 'Adinda' Aquarium Plant

Bucephalandra Brownie 'Adinda' is a beautiful and reliable Bucephalandra variety, prized for its elegant narrow leaves, rich green colouration, and subtle iridescent sheen. Its compact growth habit and hardy nature make it an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced aquascapers looking to add long-lasting texture and detail to their planted aquarium.

Appearance

Bucephalandra 'Adinda' produces slender, elongated leaves with gently undulating edges and a deep green colour that can develop subtle blue and bronze iridescent highlights under aquarium lighting. As the plant matures, it forms dense clumps that create a natural, refined appearance when attached to wood and rock.

Lighting & Growth

Bucephalandra 'Adinda' thrives in low to medium lighting conditions and does not require CO₂ injection.

Like most Bucephalandra species, it is a slow-growing plant that is easy to care for and requires very little maintenance. While CO₂ is not essential, additional CO₂ and regular fertilisation will promote stronger growth, healthier foliage, and more vibrant iridescent colouration.

How to Use

This plant should not be buried in substrate. Instead, attach it to rocks, driftwood or other hardscape using aquarium-safe glue or thread. Over time, the rhizome will naturally anchor itself to the surface.

Its compact size and elegant leaf shape make it perfect for adding texture to foreground and midground hardscape, while its subtle shimmer provides beautiful contrast amongst mosses, Anubias and other Bucephalandra varieties.
