Bucephalandra belindae Aquarium Plant

Bucephalandra belindae is a beautiful larger-growing Bucephalandra species prized for its broad, glossy leaves and robust growth habit. With its deep dark green colouration and substantial foliage, it creates a strong visual presence within the aquascape while maintaining the low-maintenance nature that Bucephalandra is known for.

Appearance
Bucephalandra belindae produces broad oval-shaped leaves with a rich dark green colour and attractive glossy finish. Compared to many smaller Bucephalandra varieties, its larger foliage creates a bolder look, making it ideal for use as a focal epiphyte plant on wood and rock. New growth may display lighter green tones before darkening as the leaves mature.

Lighting & Growth
Bucephalandra belindae thrives in low to medium lighting conditions and does not require CO₂ injection.

It grows slowly and steadily, making it easy to maintain in both low-tech and high-tech aquariums. Additional CO₂ and fertilisation can encourage stronger growth and fuller development.

How to Use
This plant should not be buried in substrate. Instead, attach it to rocks, driftwood or other hardscape using aquarium-safe glue or thread. Over time, the rhizome will naturally anchor itself to the surface.

Its larger leaves make it particularly effective as a feature plant in the foreground or midground, where its bold foliage can be fully appreciated.
