'Little Mystery' is a new, relatively low Echinodorus cultivar with appealing colours. The narrow-elliptical leaves an grow to about 30 cm long, but usually the plant stays lower. Its growth is moderately fast. . Especially in good lighting, the leaves show beautiful red tones with a striking pattern of many reddish-brown spots.

Like practically all sword plants, Echinodorus 'Little Mystery' develops best with ample macro- and micronutrient supply via the substrate. Strong lighting promotes the intense colouration of the underwater leaves. Water values are of secondary importance, hard water is tolerated. CO₂ addition is not absolutely necessary, but very conducive to growth.

With its strong colouring and striking markings, Echinodorus 'Little Mystery' is a real eye-catcher in the aquarium. This variety is recommended as a solitary plant or group in the middle ground, even in smaller aquariums.
