The ADA KUMU Yamaya Stone is a dramatic and characterful hardscape material from the KUMU Layout Series, selected for its deep, cool-toned colour and sharply defined structure. With its dark bluish-grey appearance and angular form, Yamaya Stone introduces contrast, weight and bold definition to planted aquarium layouts.
Each piece, sized between 30–80mm, is ideal for refining hardscape compositions or adding detail around larger structural stones. Its jagged edges and fractured texture create strong shadows and depth within a layout, making it particularly effective for mountain-style aquascapes or high-contrast Nature Aquarium designs.
The pronounced structure also provides natural crevices and shaded areas, offering shelter and grazing surfaces for shrimp and small fish while contributing to a more authentic underwater environment.
Water Parameters
Yamaya Stone has minimal impact on water chemistry, making it suitable for most planted aquariums and community systems. While all natural stones can cause minor variations, it is generally considered stable when used in a well-maintained setup.
