ADA KUMU Red Lava Stone

150g – 30–80mm

The ADA KUMU Red Lava Stone is a rugged, natural hardscape material ideal for planted aquarium scapes, iwagumi layouts, terrariums and paludariums. Its rich rust-red hue and porous texture create striking contrast against lush green plants, making it a standout choice for aquascape rockwork that draws the eye. As a natural lava rock, it brings organic variation in colour and form that enhances depth and visual interest in natural aquarium designs.

Each piece, sized between 30–80mm, works beautifully both as a structural anchor point and as a complement to larger stones in your hardscape. The textured surface and natural pits provide excellent real estate for mosses, ferns and epiphytic plants to attach and grow, helping integrate hardscape and planting for a cohesive aquascape. Small crevices also create micro-habitats for shrimp and small fish, adding ecological complexity to your aquarium environment.

Water Parameters

Red Lava Stone is generally stable in planted aquariums, but like all natural stone it may contribute trace minerals to the water. It is suitable for most freshwater planted tanks and community setups when used with regular water maintenance.

Versatile by Design

Because of its vivid colour and dynamic texture, this stone doesn’t just enhance aquarium hardscape — it also elevates terrarium and paludarium layouts. Whether you’re building a dramatic centrepiece or accenting softer plant zones, ADA KUMU Red Lava Stone brings natural warmth, depth and geological character to your aquatic and semi-aquatic designs.
