ADA Ludwigia arcuata
Ludwigia arcuata is a very delicate leaved stem plant, which is quite the contrast ciompared to other ludwigia species that generally have thicker more rounder leaves, aruata could be compared to Didiplis diandra in terms of structure. Its generally quite wide spread amongst north america where its generally found growing in boggy conditions.
How to use Ludwigia arcuata
Luwdiga arcuata can be used in the midground of larger aquariums as it typically only reaches 20-30cm, or as a background plant in larger aquariums.
It features fine delicate needle like leaves that under high lighting turn a deep red. Low to moderate lighting will result in a more green-peachy hue. It seems to slightly acidic to medium-hard water.
The fine leaves make it a good plant choice to use when trying to create depth in your aquascape.
Plant Maintenance
Caring for this plant is as simple as any other stem, trimming it regularly will encourage bushy growth and help to keep its shape. Trimming with curved wave scissors makes it easy to shape into rounded mounds of stems.
Emerged Growth
When growing this plant out of water, if you provide it with enough light it will produce yellow flowers. It can grow in a terrarium with humidity. and will grow in a creeping formation.
