Rotala Florida Sunset

Rotala Florida Sunset (Rotala ramosior) is a stunning rare stem plant known for its vibrant colouration and striking contrast in aquascapes. Its slender stems produce delicate, narrow leaves that transition from lush green at the base to warm shades of pink, orange, and deep red toward the tips—creating a glowing “sunset” effect under the right conditions.

Unlike many Rotala species, Rotala ramosior is actually native to North America and is admired for its adaptability and unique growth pattern. While it can survive in lower-tech setups, this plant truly thrives with higher light, nutrient-rich water, and supplemental CO₂, where its intense sunset hues become most pronounced.
