Blue Jelly Shrimp

Neocaridina Species

Blue Jelly Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) are peaceful and eye-catching freshwater shrimp prized for their soft, translucent blue coloration. Their bodies have a smooth, uniform colour that can range from pale sky blue to a gentle, icy turquoise, giving them a “glowing” appearance in planted aquariums. Unlike patterned shrimp, Blue Jelly Shrimp have an even, solid tone across their body, with their legs and antennae often showing the same delicate blue hue. Their small size and gentle nature make them ideal for community aquariums, nano tanks, and aquascapes where subtle colour adds beauty without overwhelming the scene.
